When we started

How we started
Two young people came to the Foundation to ask if they could run a youth music event. Rather than raising £2,000 as expected they raised £35,000 and ran an event for 1000 young people.
Our work
Youth 4 Youth now run a major youth arts festival each year showcasing the best of youth arts talent in Bristol and beyond. We also run Friday evening music events for young people - over 300 attend each one and crime has dropped by 23% as a result.
Future plans
The group are beginning to train others to do the same in their local youth clubs across Bristol and South Gloucestershire. The 2010 festival is happening on 4 September. The organisers are currently looking for acts to perform, so young musicians should get in touch.
