StreetCombo is an energetic youth theatre, formed of 25 young people between 10-17. We fill the community room on the estate, balancing ambitious projects like performing in professional theatres with local community projects. These include working with older people, to improve intergenerational relationships. We’ve reintroduced carol singing to the estate after 20 years and run a talent show for the residents association BBQ. We also involve older people in art projects for our productions.

How we started
We started through Bounce Theatre (who still run our group). Bounce received a commission to work in the area, but were so struck by StreetCombo they obtained extra funding to carry on working with us.
Our work
Working with older people, local community projects, performing in professional theatres.
Future plans
We are entering the National Theatre Connections Festival and planning another carol event.
