We are an anti-bullying project for young people, with information and advice in both English and Portuguese.

How we started
We felt that not enough was being done to combat bullying, particularly in school - where we had all been victims of bullying. We are Air Cadets, which has a zero tolerance on bullying, and wanted to spread this stance in the wider community. Just Smile! was developed from the highly successful internet safety project that two of us created in 2006.
Our work
We meet a few times per week to run through planning and development such as fundraising, publicity and discussing anti bullying methods. We broadcast our own radio show, appear on others including Portuguese language radio shows, and have created an anti-bullying DVD, game and a website which we update regularly. We created and sent a Smile information pack to every school in Norfolk, and are putting 'Smile' message boxes into schools for young people to use.
Future plans
We will continue our radio and media endeavours as well as providing information packs for every Norfolk school. We are developing personal safety information, for bullying victims to learn to protect themselves from verbal and physical assault.

We all enjoy doing this project because you realise that you are actually helping victims of bullying and even if you make one victim speak out and tell someone, it means so much that you have helped someone.
