The closing date for nominations is 5pm on Monday 7 November 2011.
- The award is for groups of young people working together. Nominations for individuals are not eligible.
- You may nominate a group you are part of, or someone you know.
- Projects and groups nominated must be based in the UK.
- Those nominated must be between 11 and 20 years of age. Recipients of the award must be no older than 20 years on 7 December 2011.
- Winning groups will receive a £1000 worth of prizes.
- All projects must have been established for 6 months or more at the point of entry.
- All entrants must be willing to take part in publicity connected with the Philip Lawrence Awards and be able to attend the ceremony in Spring 2012 in London.
- We are only able to consider nominations made using the online form or the standard printed nomination, both available at http://www.philiplawrenceawards.net/nominate/
- Incomplete or illegible nominations may be disqualified.
- Proof of posting or emailing cannot be accepted as proof of delivery. We cannot accept responsibility for nominations that are lost or delayed, or which are not received for any reason.
- Nominations from previous Philip Lawrence Award winners are allowed, but must demonstrate that the nomination refers to a significantly different project, or that there have been major changes or developments to the project since their previous nomination.
- By adding your project to the PLAnet network and creating a public profile you can take advantage of the Facebook comment facility, and social media sharing options which can help demonstrate a level of support from those involved or affected by the project, and from the public. Support can also be referenced in the printed nomination form – therefore there is no disadvantage in using the printed form.
- A high number of ‘thumbs up’ votes and positive comments received by a project may be considered by the judges as evidence of its impact and public support, but it is not the deciding factor.
- The decisions taken by the judges are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Once the judging process is complete, we will notify the person specified in ‘Part A’ of the outcome.
- Nacro may publicise nominations as examples of good practice.
- Nacro may store and use your information on computer databases. Your information will be used only for the purposes of the awards. We will look after your information and will not share it with any third parties, with the exception of those elements of the online form (clearly indicated on the online form) which create the optional public profile that appears on the website.
- Your contact details will be used if we need to contact you directly about your project nomination, and to add you to a mailing list for information about the awards. You can unsubscribe from these emails at any time.
