That's amazing. I had problems with political engagement myself, and there was noone there to guide me. Good luck!

They`re a great bunch of young people who have delivered confident presentations to youth workers on level 1 and 2 Youth Work courses that we`ve delivered, explaining how they work and also encouraging youth workers to help promote the voice and influence of all young people. Keep it up!

The Young Advisors have been incredibly helpful in advising on the design and content of some training modules that are being developed to help partners across Sheffield with improving understanding and awareness of issues of child poverty. They contributed to focus groups, provided case studies and attended trial sessions as well as giving feedback. Their contributions have been sensitive, practical and thoughtful and they have helped with issues ranging from language used, to the approach of staff, to accessibility. Thank you so much and good luck with the award!

I have recently started working in the team that supports Young Advisors in Sheffield. They are an inspirational, professional group of young people from a variety of backgrounds that work together by collaborating all their skills and knowledge to make a successful team. They have worked hard to make Young Advisors in Sheffield successful and have already started expanding. They help young people throughout the Sheffield area have their voices heard in the public and private sector. These young people have been approached by organisations that understand the importance of youth proofing and ensuring their businesses are youth friendly (but they also do so much more!!!) Good Luck Young Advisors you deserve to win!!

The group came to th com.unity youth centre to undertake a consultation with young people. What makes this different is the youth centre is in the middle of a very poor housing estate and the young people consulted in re-shaping education in Sheffield would never of been consulted in the past. The advisors where virtuous and understanding to young people with low literacy skills and ensured all young peoples views where captured.

I would like to nominate Hurst Young People's Project in Ashton-under-Lyne (Greater Manchester) which is a supported housing unit that helps young people aged 16-21. It's a fantastic project that really makes a difference to the lives of young people and helps them achieve what they what to achieve in life.
