PLAnet: the Philip Lawrence Awards Network celebrates the positive difference that young people are making in their communities all over the country. Tell us what you’re doing and get recognised.

The Philip Lawrence Awards celebrate and share the achievements of young people. They were set up in 1997 in memory of head teacher Philip Lawrence who was murdered outside his school. Since then, over 100 groups from across the UK have won a coveted award for projects that improved their lives and the lives of others.

Projects range from tackling crime to bridging the generation gap, and from setting up radio stations to creating youth forums – all kinds of great ideas from young people who want to make a difference. More than 1000 great young people, aged between 11 and 20 have been involved in our network, sharing ideas and new experiences,

and proving that young people can be a force for good.
Find out more about the incredible things that our award winners have done for their communities, and join PLAnet to share what you’re doing.

Every young person is capable of greatness.
